Route66 [Street mode] - Safety Cameras no longer work

If you find your Safety Cameras (fixed speed / red light cameras) are no longer working, chances are that the license for this facility has expired.

The standard license supplied with the Hema Navigator provides for 2 years of free updates to the Safety Camera data. After this time you will be required to purchase an additional license for this facility.

You can see if the Safety Cameras have expired, by tapping the Options button in the lower-left of the main map screen in Route66 on the Navigator.

Then tap TOOLS > SETTINGS > ALARM. You should see the following screen:

Safety Cameras Inactive

Go back to the OPTIONS menu, and tap EXTRAS > SAFETY CAMERAS. You should see something similar to the following:

Safety Cameras Expired Date

This indicates that you need to purchase a new license via the Route66 store built in to the Route66 Sync program on your PC.

Once you have purchased a new license, you should see that the expiration date changes on this screen, as shown below:

Safety Cameras Expired Date

Please note that any map updates which are done to your Navigator by Hema do NOT include safety cameras. Map licenses and safety camera licenses are seperate entities.
