HN7 Navigator - What is the plastic disc for?

Author: Robert Taylor Reference Number: AA-00269 Views: 6494 Created: 2014-04-28 20:37 Last Updated: 2014-04-28 20:37 0 Rating/ Voters

The HN7 box contains a plastic disc with adhesive backing.

The manual does not include any information related to this disc.

So, what is it for?

The disc allows you to mount your HN7 wherever there is a surface upon which the disc can be placed.

Normally, the HN7 is attached to the windscreen using the suction mount supplied.

However, you may wish to mount the HN7 on a part of the dash which is not smooth enough for the suction mount to maintain a vacuum and hence, stay in place.

Once the adhesive disc is placed on the surface, the suction mount is used in the usual way to position the HN7, attached to the adhesive disc, rather than directly on the surface.

WARNING!

  1. Do not use the disc on your vehicle windscreen - it is NOT designed for this purpose!
  2. Be absolutely sure of the position that you wish to place the disc in BEFORE you remove the protective layer on the adhesive and stick it down. The adhesive is very strong, and the disc will be very difficult to move once placed in position and stuck down.
