The Software which supports the Hema Navigator product line includes the following:

  • OziExplorer
  • Hema Navigator Explorer
  • NaviExtras Toolbox

These applications are provided by third parties, and are Microsoft Windows only applications.

They will not run natively on Apple Mac computers running the OSX operating system.

It is possible, however, to install applications on your Apple Mac which allow you to run a virtual Windows PC under the Mac operating system.

These applications include:

  • VMWare Fusion
  • Bootcamp
  • Parallels

These programs allow you to create a "Windows PC within your Mac". This generally runs as a "normal" Windows PC would, and allows the installation of any standard Windows applications, including the relevant Hema Navigator software. The virtual PC can run any version of Windows you like, but it's probably best to stick to Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10  (Windows XP is now approaching the end of it's support life, and the less said about Windows Vista, the better, in our opinion!)

This software is commercial software, and therefore, will cost money to purchase. You should also note that you will need to either have a spare Windows operating system license, or you will have to buy a legal copy of Windows to run within the virtual environment.

NOTE

Running virtual machines on Apple computers to allow access to Windows applications such as those listed above is not supported by Hema.
