The quick answer is NO!

There are some great vehicle mounting options available at places like JB HiFi which work perfectly for your mobile phone.

These magnetic mounts consist of an adhesive steel plate which you stick on the back of your phone.

The mount (which can come in a number of forms, like a suction mount for the windscreen or an air-vent mount) has a strong magnet which attaches itself to the steel plate, and will hold your phone in place nicely (as long as it's not too heavy).

Do NOT use these types of mounts with the Hema Navigator products!

  1. The magnetic mount may work fine on smooth roads for fairly light phones, but will be very unlikely to safely hang on to your Navigator on rough / corrugated roads and tracks.
  2. The steel plate is likely to obscure the satellite receiver inside the GPS unit, leading to poor or no satellite reception.
  3. The magnet itself may cause interference.
