HX-1 Navigator [General] - Freeing up space for map updates

Author: Robert Taylor Reference Number: AA-00554 Views: 5631 Created: 2017-11-17 13:29 Last Updated: 2017-12-08 10:13 0 Rating/ Voters

Periodically, you might see that there are map updates available.

Sometimes these updates may be for one of the smaller (regional) maps on the device.

At other times, a major update may be released which incorporates many maps, and requires additional space on the HX-1 device to store the newer content.

If you have filled your device with images and/or video clips, or copied other media to the device, thus filling it up, there may not be enough room for the updates to be able to be successfully installed.

In this case, you would need to free up some space on your device to make room.

There are a number of items which can consume space on your HX-1 device, such as:

  1. Images (photos) taken using the camera built in to the HX-1
  2. Images as waypoints captured on another device running the Hema Explorer app
  3. Videos
  4. Music
  5. Downloaded map areas

To free up some space on your device, the process is slightly different depending on what additional data you wish to clear.

See this section of the online user guide for suggestions on freeing up storage space for map updates.
