The content on the SD card which comes with the Hema Navigator range contains mainly off-road maps in various formats, but may contain other ancilliary data.

We recommend transferring data using a card reader with the SD card adapter (if required), as tranferring data using SD card readers i usually quicker than copying with the card in the device. The card reader will need to be capable of reading SDHC cards (Secure Data - High Capacity).

If you wish to install a larger SD card in your Navigator, we recommend a process similar to this:

  1. Make sure you exit any running applications on your Navigator.
  2. Create a folder on your PC to contain the content copied from the original card (eg. called "Hema-SD-Backup")
  3. Put the original card in the card reader
  4. Copy the existing card content IN ITS ENTIRETY to the folder on your PC
  5. Put the new card in the card reader
  6. Copy the content IN ITS ENTIRETY from the folder on your PC to the new SD card
  7. Put the new card into the Navigator, wait for the "SD card inserted" sound, and you're away!
